Classical

There is no doubt that having classical music at your special event adds elegance. Classical musicians are the preferred entertainment for most wedding ceremonies. We have a large roster of professional, working musicians who take pride in providing music that is appropriate to the mood and theme of your event. Consider the possibilities! Whether you opt for classical piano, organ, woodwind or string instruments, you'll be delighted with the transforming effect this type of music can have.

HARP
A harp can create a very special ambience for any wedding ceremony or special event. Harpists play a variety of music including Celtic, classical, sacred, or pop. Some harp players, however, specialize in only one type (such as a Celtic Harpist), and may not play the other styles. A harp can also be paired with another instrument such as a flute, a violin, or a classical guitar to produce an enchanting sound. Harp instruments will vary in appearance depending on whether they are a Celtic Harp (also known as "Folk Harp", "Irish Harp", or "Lever harp"), or Pedal Harp (also known as a "Classical Harp"). Harp music is best described as ethereal and a classical harpist will add elegance to any formal occasion.

CLASSICAL PIANO
The piano, also known as the 'pianoforte', was invented in Italy in 1709.  An extremely versatile instrument, the piano keyboard spans seven and a half octaves. The two most common types of pianos are the grand piano and the upright piano.  And probably the most well-known maker of pianos is Steinway & Sons.  Throughout history, pianists have spanned nearly every genre - whether it was the classical pianist Van Cliburn playing clasical pinao music or pop pianist Bill Joey playing Top 40 favories like "Piano Man".  In the classical piano genre, the most well known composers are Chopin, Beethoven, Mozart and Schubert.  At weddings, clasical pianists are often used for the wedding march and also to provide wedding reception music.  Classical piano music is also perfect for an upscale corporate function, a private dinner party at your home, christenings and other formal affairs.  Keep in mind that due to its size, the piano is not easily transportable!  Therefore your venue will most likely need to have a piano on site.

CLASSICAL VIOLIN
The violin is a string instrument which can be traced back to the 9th century.  Classical violinists make up key parts of both the string quartet and the symphony orchestra.  A violin is not to be confused with its larger sibling, the viola which looks quite similar but has a deeper sound.  The violin is most often hired to play either as a soloist, or as a member of a duo, trio or string quartet.  Violinists are often accompanied by a piano.  Events where you might hear violin music are a wedding ceremony, a dinner party, a church service or an art gallery opening.  In an elegant restaurant you may find strolling violinists performing from table to table.  While violin music is most often associated with classical music, it can play other types as well.  For instance, when a violin is used to play bluegrass music, it is referred to as a fiddle.  Jazz violinists have also gained popularity in recent years, and you will even see an electric violin featured in some rock bands.
